hello,

at school my laptop was working fine and when i got home i turned it on and nothing happened. the fan just began to spin the HDD indicator blinked for one second and then just a black screen.
i removed the battery and all the usb cables and power cable. holded the power button for about 1 minute and put the battery back and tried to boot but still a black screen with the fan spinning. the air out of my laptop feels really warm i dont know why. what could be the problem? can i just get the HDD out and put it in my pc? i dont think i have a normal 2,5 HDD mount only a 2,5 SSD mount.

Solution
Please remove battery on laptop.

Please remove hard drive and leave it out totally.

Please remove RAM on bottom of laptop (sometimes ram is also under keyboard depending on laptop *cough* dell)

Please put ram back into laptop (this is to ensure its sitting in its correct spot).

Please just plug in the ac adapter now, and turn on laptop.

If it turns on here, let it fail to boot into windows you should get a message about unable to boot do to boot device.

Turn off laptop.
Install hard drive, and just plug in ac adapter now. turn it on. if it boots let it boot into windows then shut it down.

now plug in battery and turn it back on.
