I have just attempted to download a new program onto my computer when I realized that my storage space was full. I looked at my Disk space and I noticed that my OS_Install (C: ) was almost full, while my Data (D: ) was totally empty. Is there anyway I can get my laptop to start using the 918 GB on my Data (D: ) rather than the much smaller OS_install disk.

I'd say you don't get the laptop to do it, YOU have to do it.

You can set whatever browser to download to anywhere on the system by default (in its settings), you can set any torrent downloader to save files to anywhere on the system (in its settings), and when installing games you can tell it to install to anywhere on the system (99% of the time).

There is not one simple setting that changes to make things use D drive, unless you count the setting in your head that says - hey maybe I should save things to the D drive.

Every program and driver I have ever installed has defaulted to the same drive the OS is on. Sometimes it doesn't seem like you have a choice which drive it will end up on, and that's usually when you have an option like advanced install or something of the likes. Under that menu will you have the option to change file destination.
