Laptop on wifi disrupts my internet

So I have a wired connection for everything and just got my new laptop. After about 5 minutes of being connected to WiFi, I'll lose internet for a short period (1-2 minutes) before getting it back. This repeats.

I checked my router settings - the laptop has a different IP by one digit from the other connections. I tried switching to a Static IP but that didn't work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

For anyone who happens upon this and needs the solution. Go to Device Manager -> Network Adapters -> Right click on your Wireless network adapter for your Computer, and update

Pretty simple, but I was fooling around in my router settings thinking I had to change my IP or do Ipconfig/renew and all that stuff.
