Laptop orange blinking light after shutdown

Hello,
i have HP Compaq nx6310. when ever i shutdown it power light start blinking in orange color.Any one can help me on this issue.

Does the battery work OK? This type of flashing either means the battery is very low or is having issues charing. If there are issues with the battery, need to get a new one.

is it plugged into a lan cable?
