hello guys i got a turbo-x notebook with i5-520m 2.4 Ghz, 4GB ram, with on board hd graphics 64 mb.. ive tried everything from cleaning every edge inside it to buying a new fan. still gets 70-85*C while just open.. what could i do? any good ideas?
Laptops tend to run a lot hotter comapred to desktops and their chips can withstand the heat. Can you tell us the CPU temps when gaming or under load.
when i play vanilla wow its around 90C* on first 10 min. after enother 10 min about its shuts down due to overheat. witch means at 20 min i touch 105C*
80-85C is a good temperature for laptops. Have a search around on Google and see for yourself.
yeah it would be good to be 80-85 and while playing vanilla wow.. there it gets at first 20 min 105C* and closes from overheating.
You said it was 80-85C under load. But no matter, have a look inside your power management settings and see if it has passive cooling checked as opposed to active cooling.

i thoght when you said under load soething like when you extract a zip folder or something. i gave a look at power managment settings and the it wasent to passive cooling. i also tried to cut some cpu power like from 100% to 75% but still burning like a frypan.
