First of all I'm not sure what the correct topic for my query is. Second of all this problem has only been affecting me for 2 days. However, since this is a fairly new laptop (purchased at the end of August of the last year) I am fairly worried (terrified even) at anything going wrong. I am using a Lenovo Y70-70 Touch Screen laptop, with a 1TB HDD, i7-4710 HQ 4-core CPU @ 3.50 gHz (when turbo charge'd), 16GB RAM and an NVidia GTX 860M 2GB VRAM GPU. After going to sleep with absolutely no problems, even during heavy usage, i.e. playing games, and coming back to the laptop the next afternoon I had a problem of the laptop slowing down after 10-20 minutes. The temperature of the laptop doesn't increase, (Here is a screenshot with temps http://gyazo.com/77409045f90554a709001604a1bebb31 ) and the usage also doesn't increase during this time (can't post a screenshot as I'm currently trying a defragment.
This is really worrying me. So far I've tried running anti-virus scans of everything (using eset 8), defragmenting the drive (currently running) and checking it for errors. Is there any other suggestions for what to do?
