Laptop plugged in but not charging

hello ,I have a Toshiba laptop , it stopped working because where you put the charger in the laptop that piece got stuck in so i go it fixed . now my laptop doesnt come on , it only comes on when the charger is in . it says that it is plugged in , but is not charging . any ideas?

Sounds to me like the "fix" you had done to the charging jack might not have been done properly.
