Laptop problem with my VGA

Hey guys, I'm running on windows 8 and I was fooling around trying to two PC stream with my laptop and PC. I plugged the VGA cord from my laptop to PC graphics card and did some 'messing' around in screen resolution and stuff. Now when I plug in the VGA the laptop screen blinks from the laptop projected image to a black image. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Need more info here, what are you connecting the VGA cable to now? You can't run the video between the laptop and another video card, the laptop connections is output only.

You should have a reset to default button on the video settings, use that.
