laptop problem (wont turn on)

the light which show when the adapter is plugged in,only show a while,when i plug in my adapter
i tried pressing the power buttom for 30 seconds and switching on but it doesn't work
My laptop is Dell Inspiron 5558

Try unplugging your battery and restarting your laptop, does it turn on?

Either your recharge cable is not working correctly(try another cable) or it's a more severe hardware problem, i recommend sending it in and letting professionals look at it. Since any attempt to fixing it yourself will lose you your warranty.
