can i upgrade my panasonic cf48 laptop cpu? right now im running on intel r pintium 3. if possible what is the highest cpu it would be compatible for my laptop.

No, you can't upgrade.

Highly unlikely, your BIOS will probably only support the one you have fitted. Occasionally more than one is supported, visit your manufacturer's website and check your specs to see if you have the best CPU available for that model. You might find a better one within the supported range on Ebay cheap, but they are not that easy to swap...
