Question Laptop RAM Confusion

Hi all,

I recently brought the following laptop: https://www.ebuyer.com/1411252-medion-crawler-e10-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i5-10300h-8gb-ram-512gb-ssd-30033537.

It comes with X1 8gb ram installed and an empty slot. I plan to add another 8gb. However, I'm a little confused on what RAM type is compatible. The specs for memory are:

DDR4 SDRAM
2666 MHz

When looking online I understand that SDRAM is typically for desktop while SODIMM is for laptops. Can some one clarify if this is indeed the case and advise which memory would be compatible on my laptop?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, SODIMM is package and connector used for laptops and smaller devices, that's first thing to look for.
Second thing is to find which one is compatible with soldered RAM.
You can start here for instance, most manufacturers have similar options.

CPU-Z and Thaiphoon burner can give more details about present memory.

Thanks for clarifying and the two links. Both proved useful.
