Laptop Ram Problem.

My laptop is dell inspiron n5010. 4GB ram was already integrated with the laptop. and i upgraded it to 6. 4 in one and 2 in other slot. OS is windows 10. but after installing new ram, OS is not booting.. It starts untill the windows logo. But suddenly shuts down automatically. Each RAM is different manufacturer. One is samsung and other is adata.

Hi,

Does it boot up normally if you remove the added RAM's from the laptop? You can use RAM's with different manufacturers as long as they have the same speed and voltage because you'll have problem like that if you use 2 RAM which has different speed or specification.

most laptop ram kits are two ram sticks of the same size. i would return if you can the smaller dimm and pick up a 4g kit,. or a newer 8g kit if your laptop supports it.

Yes. when i insert the old ram, it works fine. today i noticed that older ram is 1.5v and newer ram is 1.35v. is that a problem?

yes both ram have to have the same speed and same voltage.
