Laptop RAM question

hi all, good day. My laptop model is toshiba satellite m200 and currently i upgrade the RAM to 800Mhz one instead of previous 667Mhz. However, from what I saw in the CPU-Z, the memory is only run at the speed of 667Mhz. How do I configure it in order to make it run at 800Mhz?

Thanks for the answer. But i cant find the setting of RAM in bios, is it my motherboard not supported ?

Read manual. If there is a way to set dimm settings it will be in there.

they show the specs on that laptop to use pc2-5300 (667 MHZ) so im guessing thats the most it supports
so the 800 mhz ram you put in will down clock it self to 667
like GeekApproved said check the bios if you dont find a setting to raise mhz to 800mhz your prolly gonna have to stay on 667mhz

I don't know exactly which model M200 he has, but I looked at a few on crucial.com and they did say 800mhz modules. But need to know the exact model number such as M200-XXX
