Hello all. Im currently having an issue with my laptop as of today
Synopsis
I was casually internet browsing when my laptop completely powered down without any indication or obvious reasoning. It was fullychanged charged before it did this. When i tried pressing the power button, nothing happens. I hold the power button to no avail before I decided to leave it for awhile.
I suspected that the battery was at fault. Coming back to it, i tried doing a hard reboot by holding down the power button for 20 seconds to fruitless results. Afterwards I started to disassemble it to do a power drain on the battery which also did nothing. I spoke to my online friend and told him the lowdown. He concluded that either the powerjack needs replacing or its “F***ed.” Another friend suggested a fuse must have shot

- its always hooked to power with an AC adapter during use
- it often gets hot after elongated gaming sessions
- no known history of similar problem occurring
- It is roughly 2 years old
