[SOLVED] Laptop running hot and loud even though it's not under load

I have an Asus gaming laptop and when I'm playing games it usually runs at expected temps and everything but when I'm just watching youtube or Netflix, it runs at over 90 degrees on all 4 cores and the fans are really loud. sometimes ill just have it on and sitting not running apps or browsers and it's still very hot and really loud. I don't know the exact model or anything but it has an intel core i7-7700HQ and a gtx 1050 and ive had the laptop for almost 2 years. Is this bad and if so is there a way to fix this.

Is it possible the windows to be downloading updates at that time?
Have you checked for viruses?
Check in task manager what is stressing the CPU
