As the title states I just cleaned my laptop for the first time with duster and now in GTA V my CPU temps are reaching 95c. Prior to cleaning the CPU was 90-91c. FC3, Mass Effect Legendary Editon, and Crysis Remastered, and Modern Warfare 2019 all run fine.

Any idea what the issue with GTA V could be?

Specs are: Asus TUF Dash F15 RTX 3070 - 2021 model.
CPU: Inte i7 11375h quad core
16 GB RAM

I used canned air into the side port of the laptop, which made the fans spin up quite a bit. Then I blew air into the intake ports underneath the laptop. Repeated this one more time and now GTA V runs hotter on the cpu side and everything else runs fine.

did you use the air duster whilst the laptop was running , if you did and the air blew the fan blades backwards you could have burnt the fan out.

is the fan working .......

dont know if this will work on a laptop because the fans are not very big , hold a bit it paper against the fan intake under the case and see if it falls away

It only occurred with one game, otherwise I run from 75-82c. GTA V has the fans running full force despite working fine about a week ago.

not used GTA V for a long time but i did read somewhere that it was going to get some major update so maybe you should check your settings , as far as i remember i think it has an option to scan your pc build and choose what it thinks is suitable.

I use a game called satisfactory and my rig can do 144 fps but the gtx 1080 goes up to 85 so i run it at 60 and get temp 72 and the 60 fps looks ok anyway
