Laptop runs hot after replacing motherboard

Hello,
My Hp laptop fan worked fine and it did not heat up but since I had the motherboard replaced, the keys get hot enough to burn my fingers. The whole laptop feels extremely hot. Now the fan does not run. Why?

The fan doesn't run at all? It should run sometimes.
Your CPU cooler may have been installed improperly.

Wow! Take it in and leave it off if the keys are burning your fingers. Imagine how much damage you could be causing to nearby components...
