Hi!
My brother have a Toshiba Satellite C850. One of the screen hinges broke more than a year ago, but everything was working fine.
Now, when he turns on the laptop it shows a white screen.

I can see a thin black wire that has been cut off near the broken hinge. I'm assuming that's definitely the problem. How can I fix this exactly?
I have opened the laptop to repair other issues before, but I'm not sure if just trying to connect the wire will fix it.
Going to a repair store isn't an option currently.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi! Thank you for replying.
It took me a while but I finally dismantled the base, and here it is.
The red arrow is the end of the cut off black wire that I mentioned. It looks the same as the white one below it ( green arrow ).
They seem pluged in.
Blue arrow points to the cut off end near the hinge.
I haven't dismantled the screen yet, but I'll do it if it's necessary.

I dismantled the screen and found the screen cable unplugged. I plugged it and secured it with a tape. The screen is working fine now! Thank you for your help :)
