Hi,
A few months ago, not long after upgrading my laptop to Windows 10, my computer started exhibiting very strange behavior regarding the sleep and power functions. Whenever I close the laptop lid by mistake, the computer goes into sleep mode. Now, this is all fine and good on its own, but the thing is that whenever I open the lid or try to wake it up, the screen stays black. I can tell that it is still powered on because my backlit keyboard stays on and I can still hear the faint whir of laptop fans, but the computer doesn't respond whatsoever, and the only solution is to reboot the computer altogether. Another thing that happens is that if I leave my computer alone for around 15 minutes, when I come back the computer has shut itself off altogether, and it's kind of a pain to go through the startup process over and over again. If it's any help, my laptop screen is busted, so I have it hooked up to a 1080p monitor via an HDMI>DVI adapter.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this extremely long post, and thank you in advance for any help I may receive.
