Hello everyone, i have an old laptop and i used to play League of Legends in very low settings with 50-60fps with no problems, but now the laptop shuts down automatically when the in-game starts (Not Client). When the game starts the fans getting loud and after 2-3 mins in game the computer shut down automatically. I have cleaned the laptop fan and ventilation ports and i also changed the thermal paste for the processor but the problem still going on. i also did a fresh windows installation and i have installed the game only to see if the problem related to a software or something but with no success.

I have downloaded Open Hardware Monitor to see the CPU temp and this is what i got: View: https://imgur.com/a/dpKqEfP

Question for CPU cores is it normal to see only 2 cores in i5 one?
I would like some help if possible

Laptop Specs:
Latitude E5520
CPU: i5-2430M
RAM: 4 Gigs DDR3
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro x64 1909 Build: 18363.1734

The CPU temp, was that done at idle or with the laptop running a game? Since you did a clean Windows setup on the thing and it still crashes, that points to a hardware issue.

Does this happen whenever the system is stressed with any game or heavy load like a stress test or only in League?

Also if you look up your CPU you will find that it is a two core one https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/53450/intel-core-i5-2430m-processor-3m-cache-up-to-3-00-ghz.html

Yes it was on idle when i did the check, i haven't checked it when running League because i can't, it's automatically shutting down, for the CPU you are right it's only two cores. So should i try to play another game or something to see if the same problem will happen? By the way i'm using to run multiple tasks like (opening and using many tabs in chrome, watching online & offline movies in HD, playing videos on YouTube at 1080p, running Photoshop) with no problems at all.
