Question laptop shuts down no matter what

hello, I'm a Big user of hibernate, however everytime I hibernate my laptop,
when I turn it back on, there is a black screen, then it just loads my pc fresh like I would have shut it down.

is it a problem with temp memory its not able to keep it stored when I hibernate?

specs: HP pavilion 15"
windows 10 home 64 bit.
8gb RAM
AMD Ryzen 5 2500U
vega 8 graphics.
256gb SSD

have about 100gb left space.
only ever use like 50% ram when running stuff.

i looked online and couldn't find a solution

hibernate writes the PC state to the hard disk - laptop will completely power down after this. Try disabling hibernate, restart the PC, enable hibernate. Then check your power state settings in the BIOS and windows settings.

Yes that, and half your RAM space is around 4GB.

That means a 4GB-write to the SSD, every time you hibernate and that's what personally I would like to avoid. Unless you really really need to hibernate.
