[SOLVED] Laptop shuts itself down after gaming for a while ?

basically the title, I checked if its a problem with my hard drive but its not. please help me

Most likely reason is laptop overheating/ not designed for intensive gaming.

Please post laptop model and full specs.

Also state which games cause it to shutdown.

It's likely overheating. How old is the laptop and have you cleaned it periodically? You can get Speedfan or other software to monitor your system temperatures conveniently. Check them at idle on first startup of the day and after a while of gaming around the time the system powers down by itself.

If your laptop used to run games fine before but it's older now and it's a temperature issue, cleaning the fan and reapplying thermal paste will likely resolve it. There is also a chance the game you're trying to run is straining your system too much if your laptop isn't meant for gaming. Details of your laptop model/spec will help.
