Hello, my Samsung NP350V5C-A01UK laptop is shutting down after 5 seconds. I tried the ram, hard drive, power supply and power button. CMOS is dead, but surely it should still boot to bios? This laptop didn't come with a battery either. The blue power led stays on for five seconds, then goes off and fan turns off.

Here is the schematics: 1:

What should I do next, I really want to get it working?

No ideas on next steps?
contact Samsung or browse Amazon type retailers for replacement parts; motherboard, etc.

if the system doesn't properly boot there's not much you can diagnose at home except to start replacing components and find which is the culprit.

Samsung should be able to put you in touch with any repair center nearby which should be able to do these diagnostics for you and let you know what exactly needs replacing but it could end up being quite expensive even if you just get the parts and replace them yourself.

Well yes I can buy a replacement motherboard and swap it true, I was hoping that’d be a last resort and maybe I could learn some more skills. Just making sure, if the CMOS battery was the issue the regular CR2032 battery would work, right?
