Question Laptop sometimes charges 100% even if set to 80%

Purchased a Predator Helios 2 months ago and noticed even if I have set it to charge up to 80% it would sometimes charge to 100%. It happens very rarely, maybe once a month. Is this normal?

You would have to check with the manufacturer. Some devices periodically charge to 100 percent so that the system which calculates the 80 percent level can be recalibrated. How would it know what 80 percent is if it doesn't check what 100 percent is?
