My laptop is lenovo 3000 g430. When i hit keys like g, h or f6 my laptop will spam refresh until i hit another key like the letter a or something. The wierd thing is that my f5 does not refresh anything. My f5 seems to not be working. I have tried clean install of windows and running antivirus. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

This is not a software issue, it is a circuitry issue. My guess would be that something has damaged the circuitry within the laptop that is causing yourr issue. Based on the fact that you have tried a clean install of windows and have tried antivirus

A quick test that may give you a little insight can be found on this Anti-Ghosting write-up page by Microsoft. While your concern is not about keyboard ghosting, you are concerned with the input from your keyboard and can use their on-screen keyboard viewing tool to see what your key presses are actually being interpreted as by your computer. Pressing and holding a key on your keyboard should light the corresponding key on the screen. If the key stays lit after you release it on your keyboard, you know your keyboard is sending bad signals.

If the keyboard is dirty, clean it. There could be debris or residue from an accidental spill, especially if you're not the only user of the laptop.

Laptop keyboards tend to be more fragile than their desktop equivalents and as such, malfunction is actually not too uncommon.

Worst case scenario, a replacement keyboard may need to be ordered and installed. You can find them through a Google search.

I have tried the anti ghosting page and when i hit keys like g or h which usually causes the spamming of refresh, the page shows that i hitting what i hit. there seems to be no other keys being pressed. Im not sure what else to do. Does old hard drive cause this issue?
