On my new Acer with windows 8, sometimes when I start it up there is no sound, zero, anywhere, and then I'll restart it once, sometimes twice, and finally there will be sound. But then, on another start up, the whole process will repeat. Does anyone understand why this scenario would prevail?
My Windows 8 laptop sometimes starts up without sound. It's an Acer E1-470P-6659 that was bought in January and this is the first problem I've had with it.
I'll be on Pandora or Youtube and the audio will be completely out. Also when on Youtube the video quality will randomly be on 720p when it should be on 360p. If I go to WMP the player will say that it is unable to play any of my media files. After a restart though everything is fine and dandy until the next day after I start it back up from a shut down.
I've tried checking the drivers and all of them turn up fine and working properly. When I go to test the audio it says that a program is using the speakers and I must close said program. The thing is that there is no program using the speakers. Is this a random bug or should I see a computer repair specialist and have them check? The problem stopped this past week and a half but came up again today.
