I have a SFF desktop with a laptop SSD. It is just a circuit board, not encased in a box. How do I slave that into a desktop to pull data off of it? It has separate power and data connections. I believe it is a MSATA SSD.
If the SSD you describe is just a circuit board sans, case/box, it is still a SSD.
Therefore all that should be needed is a SSD to USB adapter to connect (data and power ) the "circuit board" SSD to the deskop. That desktop computer should recognize the circuit board SSD as a drive (naked or not ) and the SSD should appear on the host as connected USB drive.
