Hi all,

My laptop SSD took a dump on me a couple of weeks ago and I need to reinstall Windows 11 onto the new SSD i bought. Can I use my desktop to download/install Windows 11 onto the SSD then put the SSD into the laptop? I'm assuming I need to initialize the new SSD on my desktop before anything else right?

Thanks

No.

You can't install in the deskptop and move that drive to the laptop.
This will not work.

You create a Win 11 install, on a USB.
With a new drive in the laptop, boot from this USB and install on that new drive.
