I recently bought an Asus TUF FX504.

i5-8300H
gtx 1050
win 10 home

After downloading and installing some stuff, I finally installed CSGO. The performance in the menu was okay, then in game it was rubbish. sub 50 fps but huge stutters, I immediately noticed it was memory problem. When I downloaded gpu tweak, I found out the dgpu is never used outside a game, even when it does, its barely 50% and memory usage is 0. the default gpu is still the igpu.

I have tried uninstalling and installing both igpu and dgpu drivers still no avail. even tried one version older for both. when i disable igpu, it uses windows basic display adapter, and it says you are currently not uusing a display attached to an nvidia hardware.

been looking around everyone says reinstalling drivers fixes this. help

Solution
Yes.

Start by reinstalling the drivers.

Just be sure to download the correct drivers via the manufacturer's website and install the drivers correctly.

Then, if the problems continue, use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to determine what may be the source of the stutters.
