So I have a toshiba satellite laptop(c55). I always put it on sleep mode because of the nature of my job. While at sleep mode, I could use it to charge my phone with USB. But 3 days ago, I put it into sleep mode and it refuses to come back to life. I feel dejected! This laptop is very important to me. Right now, all the ports are still seeing power. I could charge my phone with it. The DVD drive is working. But the monitor and the keyboard are not working. I have done everything! I have been everywhere online but still I could not get it to work. Today, I gave it to a good repairer and after checking it, he said we need to replace the motherboard. I don't have the money for mother board now. I am in a third world country. So I can't afford a new laptop now. Please help! Is there another way of getting it to work without changing the board?

How old is it?

Also remove the power adapter cord from both the laptop and the wall socket. Open the laptop lid and press and hold the power button for approximately 20 seconds. This will drain any stored power in the backup battery. Wait a few seconds, then put the battery back in, plug in the laptop and press the power button to turn on the computer. It may start up with an error screen; in this case, select the option to start your computer normally. If the error recurs, start the computer in "Safe Mode" to see if a program running on your...
