Guys help my laptop sometimes suddenly beeps and I have some questions about it:

1. My laptop beeps and freeze WHEN I use it. Most articles I found on the internet mention the beeps when they turn on their laptops. In my case, it beeps randomly when I use it (when gaming even when idle)

2. My laptop sometimes beeps 8 times (3 beeps/time) and 2 times (3 beeps/time)

3. I checked my hard drive with some programs, and they don't mention any error in my hard drive (Seagate Seatools: SMART test | Minitools Partition Wizard: Surface Test)

4. I also checked for RAM issues with memtest86 and the program mentions no issue with my RAM

It's been 3 weeks since the first time I remember my laptop randomly beeps. For other information, the beeps sometimes occur 4-9 times a day (it's actually random but that's the worst case)

My laptop is Acer Aspire V3-371
I am running Windows 10

Solution
Alright here is what happened. Your OS (windows) occupied a faulty address on the memory (RAM) causing it to crash. I suggest you run a memtest. It MUST pass otherwise you have to replace your ram. Some rams become faulty in just a few months and other work fine for 5+ years. If it fails the memtest, you will have to replace your ram. Just one stick has the issue since only one address seems to be defective on the memory. If you have 1+ memory stick, make sure the new one is identical in specs.
Again this most definitely is your ram (as indicated by the error message).

3 beeps are usually associated with the memory. I am guessing they are 3 one second beeps? What mobo do you have? See here for more info.

There are now two...
Do you get any error messages or BSOD? You mentioned it "freezes". Does it work fine after a while? I would start from the windows event log and see what's going on in there.

Beeps are often associated with issues with the RAM or the CMOS. If you get BSOD, it's most likely the ram. If not, we can try a CMOS reset and see if that helps.

Keep us posted.
Cheers.

no, strangely i dont get any error messages or BSOD and yeah it work fine after a while but then after couple of hours (sometimes minutes) it beeps again

how do i get the windows event log? and how can i reset the CMOS???

To get to the windows event log, Right-click on "This PC". Click Manage. On the menu to the left, select "Event Viewer".
Give it a few seconds to load up.
Click the "+" arrow beside critical, error, etc to see the error messages. You can double click on each message and it will give you a detailed description about the error in the box under "general" menu.

This is how you clear CMOS.

Do a CMOS reset after checking back the error messages and failing to figuring out what's wrong.

8 time beeps indicate there is something wrong with your graphics card / integrated graphics. I suggest you do a fresh install of the graphic card drivers. (Uninstall first and then re-install)

"taskhostw (10080) WebCacheLocal: A request to write to the file "C:\Users\PC MASTER RACE\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache\WebCacheV01.jfm" at offset 0 (0x0000000000000000) for 8192 (0x00002000) bytes succeeded, but took an abnormally long time (23 seconds) to be serviced by the OS. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem."

i found one of this warning that happened in last 24 hours and it mention hardware faulty, do you have any idea which hardware the warning means???

i read the critical and error but the one that occur in last 24 hours is about update (i turned it off) and the critical error about reboot without clean shutdown. i still had no idea what the beep actually means

befor i write this message, my laptop beeps again once (3 beeps)

There are now two indications which suggest your memory is faulty. I recommend you get it replaced (after the memtest).
Good Luck!

Solution

but the memtest pass 100% (using memtest86) that's weird right? thanks for your answer, i'm also pretty sure it's ram fault based on your answer

I see. Yes it is weird but still there is some kind of incompatibility causing all this mess between the ram and the mobo. Unfortunately I can't find the model no. of the ram to suggest which ones you buy as replacement.
NOTE: If your product is under warranty, contact the manufacturer and DO NOT tamper with it!

Cheers

thankyou so much for help me figuring out what those beeps mean. unfortunately my laptop isn't under warranty, so i think im gonna change the ram module and see if it helps the beeps

once again, thankyou

Glad to help you. So before going to get a replacement, take out the ram make sure the new ram is identical, physically and have the same speeds, etc. Otherwise it will bring up even more incompatibility issues.

Let me know if you need any help :)
