My laptop is running Windows 10. It's taking about 10 minutes to boot. It runs so slow. The task manager shows the CPU and the disk running at max. I've got McAfee antivirus. Please help! I've run the virus scan and I can't find anything.

Is this a brand new laptop?
What is in your Startup?

I've seen this with many low end laptops....too much crapware stepping all over each other at startup.

I have about 300 GB hard drive and 4 GB RAM. I have disabled almost everything at startup. The ones that are enabled: AVG Ui restarter, mcci+McciTrayApp, ETD Control Center, persistence Module, hkcmd Module, igfx Module. The laptop is a Gateway and is about 3 years old

I never got any answers. I did download AVG Tune Up utilities. I found a lot of excess backups. It also did a disk repair. I disabled all unnecessary programs. I also found malware when running Malware bytes.
