Question Laptop taskbar and start menu not working

I have this new laptop, sorry that I can't check the details since somehow with the current problem the start menu icon is gone and right click doesn't work on the taskbar, and if any program is open the same nothing is showing on the takbar show the arrow for hidden icons but right click doesn't work in that either,, the rest works as in I can work just fine in any other program, is just the taskbar not shwoing that seems the only issue. I tried looking up but couldn't find anything related to my issue one thing I tried was doing sfc /scannow on PowerShell and restarted the laptop after it since it did found some issues that said were fixed and restarted the laptop after that but the issue with the takbar stil remainds.

I would make sure you've backed up all your critical content off the laptop and then procced to reset the OS installation using a bootable USB installer made with Windows Media Creation Tools. You could probably try and use the update tool(update now) shown in this URL from Microsoft. make sure to run the installer/executable in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Ok thanks I will try to see otherwise I might just reinstall windows

Had no luck so ended up doing a fresh reinstall of window since it was a new laptop so nothing to lose.
