Laptop to play skyrim

I wanted to know if this laptop i was going to get could run skyrim well, even with mods! The specs are i5-4210m cpu, 8gb ram, 1tb hardrive, nvidea geforece gtx 860m gpu! This was for £667! However i could get an i7 quad core 4710mq cpu instead for £50 extra, is it worth the quad core for skyrim?

I'd chip out the extra £50. You get an actual 4 cores and a higher clock rate in addition to all the fancy i7 stuff and it will futureproof your laptop to a degree.

Cheers! I think i will go for i7 then would be better for the longrun! Both of those cpu's would be able to play skyrim fairly well i assume?

Skyrim is one of the games which utilizes quad-core cpus. So an i7 is the minimum for games like Skyrim.

You should have no problems getting skyrim to run smoothly on either systems. I managed to get it running on a 2GHz Core2 Duo with a 256MB HD 3470M GPU.
