I have a samsung series 5 laptop, upgrading the rather poor HDD to a samsung 850 pro. Not the most tech savy when it comes to software however... How can i make a clean installation on the SSD without cloning the HDD. This may sound stupid, but i want to transfer my windows 8 over, and whatever drivers are needed to run properly.

The first thing you need to do is go to the OEM website for your exact laptop model and download all the necessary drivers so you have them if needed. Save them to an external drive or DVD disc. I would also recommend updating your BIOS to the most recent version if it isn't already. Some systems have problems with older BIOS supporting newer SSD's. Then follow the steps at the following link and afterwards install all the drivers that you saved from the Samsung website.
