I recently installed an mSata SSD into my HP Envy laptop. I can boot from it just fine, but when the old HDD is in the laptop, it says it can't find a bootable drive. I formatted the old HDD, so it doesn't have a boot sector on it (not to my knowledge).

Solution
Go into the BIOS and change the boot order.

How you get there varies. Examples:
- F2
- DEL
- hold down F2 button then press POWER, and keep HOLDING until you boot to the BIOS

Your manual or support site should say.

The only way I could get it to boot correctly is to choose the efi file every time I boot. Any ideas on how to get it to automatically use the efi I want it to?

Is there no way to change the boot order?
