Question Laptop turned off and won't charge ?

I was doing brut force with hashcat (some kind of cpu demanding stuff). My laptop was not on charge, so it went into sleep mode at around 8 percent. I plugged in the charger and my brut force continued for several minutes. After that it turned off and won't turn on for an hour and a half even charging LED and power button did not work. I walked around the room, tore my hair out and had no idea what to do next. Suddenly it turned on and started working as if nothing had happened. Can you suggest me the possible reasons for this behaviour?
