Question Laptop upper ram slot not working

I have 2gb of memory on my laptop computer. Laptop is fujitsu lifebook ah531. I tried to put it in the second slot(upper), but the screen is black. 2gb ram card working with slot 1 , how i fix this? I want add 2 ram cards...Thanks you!

If you are sure that the RAM you got is compatible and working, then the slot is bad and only thing you can do is replace the motherboard. Or if you want 4gb RAM, a single 4gb stick should work as well for you in the working slot.
