Alright so I'm planning to buy a 2nd hand laptop which I'll pay for and also trade in my desktop for it.
The Laptop specs are as follows:
DELL, Alienware M17x - R2 17`` UltraSharp WUXGA (1920x1200) RGBLED Display Laptop
CPU: Intel Core i7-840QM Processor (1.86GHz, 4Core/8Threads, 8M cache)
Memory: 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM (2 x 4GB)
Hard disk: 2 x 640GB SATA Hard Drive
Graphic: Dual 1GB GDDR5 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
Optical drive: Slot Load Fixed DVD + /-RW Drive
========================================================================
The Desktop specs are as follows:
Processor: AMD Phenom IIx6 1055t
OS: Windows 7 64bit Ultimate
Video Card: Radeon HD 6850
Hard Disk: 1TB
RAM: 4GB
======================================================================
So what do you think? Is it worth it? I'm also throwing in another 350 bucks for it.
Was wondering if I could also connect a 1920x1080 monitor to the laptop and play games from there?
Would it support a 24inch monitor? And around what FPS could a pair of 5870 Crossfires play Skyrim and Battlefield 3 at?
Thanks alot guys!
