Friend ordered an Intel Dual Band wireless-AC 7260 card for his HP Envy 15z-j000 laptop. I confirmed that the card would fit in the PCI-e slot on his laptop so he ordered it. He contacted me after installation saying that the drivers installed and device manager recognizes the card, but does not detect any wireless networks. I don't think it's an issue of Intel wifi card w/ AMD cpu, as those shouldn't interfere but I am looking to solve his issue. The event log displays 3 driver services being added and the device being installed, but after a enabling wifi no networks are discoverd.

That's not a card compatibility issue, "no available networks listed" can happen with any wifi adapter, even the original factory-fitted one.
It's happened on both my laptops. All I do I is reboot my laptop and restart the router by unplugging it then plug it back in.
For good measure I reboot my laptop as well.

That's always done the trick for me.

I will finally have the laptop in hand tomorrow, and this is where I planned on starting. Thanks for the advice!
