Laptop wifi/internet issues

So, my mothers laptop (lenovo ideapad 700) is having an issue, so the wifi signal is good its 100% but the speed she is getting is 150 mbps which is only a fraction of the speed we have and even when plugging in the ethernet cable it doesnt rise up and when on the wifi it stutters and the wifi connection just is on and off always but it stutters really fast so u cant tell by just looking but it cant load anything on the web. it isnt a problem with the security service we have

It's probably only a 150mpbs Wi-Fi card. Try to plugin the lan cable and then disable the Wi-Fi card, that should make it switch over to using the cable.
Another option would be to change the Wi-Fi card in the laptop.

well it isnt a 150mbps wifi card. it only has occured lately(the problem). its usually ran on the most we can get which is 2 mbs and it also ran 6-7 mbs in norway. the wifi card model name is Dual Band Wireless - AC 3165

Okay, it then seems for some reason it has switched over to using n mode instead of ac mode.

Try under hardware management find the Wi-Fi adaptor and go to settings.

well ill thank you for helping me, in the end i just changed it to 20mhz only on the 2,4ghz speed and it works now

i could have laso changed it to b not a b and g
but i was blind enough to miss that the mbps had changed to mbits
