Question Laptop will not act as receiver for bluetooth device ... why?

First let me tell you what I am trying to do ...

I have an audio mixer. I am trying to get the output of the mixer into the computer.

I can do this with a cable but I want to go wireless ... bluetooth I figure would be easiest.

So, have two different dell laptop computers (both running windows 10).

I have two different stand alone bluetooth transmitters ( one runs 4.1 .. the other 5.0).

I plug the devices into power (both are USB powered and have an audio input jack) ...... press the button to pair ... neither computer will see either device!

So if I have two different computes ... and I have two different devices (transmitters) .. and I can't see either then I know I am doing something wrong.

Just as a side note .... one of the transmitters has a RX / TX switch. The laptop will see it as a receiver but not as a transmitter!

Any suggestions ... or ?????

I bought a transmitter .... why won't the computer act as a receiver? Is there something special I need to do when pairing?

oh i tought you want to use both transmitters to connect to eachother, but you want to use internal bluetooth on laptopts, this mostly wont work, because transmitters are looking for compatible devices, like bluetooth speakers
