My laptop will not connect to my router via ethernet or wifi. I did not have this issue until I unplugged the router to move it. My phone connects to the wifi and my computer can wirelessly connect to my mobile hotspot.
Ubrales,
Tried power cycling the router and its of no use. My phone can connect to it but my computer cannot. My comouter can connect to my wifi hotspot so I dont think its a network card issue.
You mentioned that the laptop will not connect via the Ethernet or by the WiFi - this tells me that there is a hardware problem in the laptop. There are no settings or procedures to follow when you plug in a CAT 5/6 Ethernet cable in the laptop.

I got the ethernet to work. I went into the adapter settings and unchecked Internet protocol version 6, made sure IP v 4 had "obtain IP address automatically" and "obtain DNS server automatically" checked. Then I went to internet options, connections, and LAN settings and made sure that "automatically detect settings" was checked.
Tried doing something similar to the WIFI, but no response.
