Hello.
I am getting VERY low performance on my RTX 3070 laptop, compared to what it used to, in terms of FPS (it has dropped from +300 to around 70 in CS:GO.
Doing some troubleshooting (yes I tried reinstalling every driver, even with DDU and safemode), I´ve found that even in idle, the card is drawing crazy power.

About my laptop:
MSI GP66 Leopard 11UG , 15.6" 144Hz FHD IPS, Intel i7-11800H 8-Core, 32GB RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, RTX 3070 8GB.
Drivers up to date. Bios is updated. VBIOS on latest firmware.
Laptop bought in April. Thermal paste and Fans Ok, temperature is definitely not the problem.

Is this normal? Any suggestions on why this huge drop in performances may be happening?

Hi , if you can provide the exact laptop model , in the meantime you can go on manufacturer website , first download bios update , restart , after that download Intel driver , I see in the picture you have a UHD graphics , install it restart laptop and after that install Nvidia driver and check the version if is old you can try Nvidia website for the new one , restart again and test , also you can verify all the driver to be up to date , after that you can verify , and also make sure the fans are clean and the thermal paste is ok.

All drivers up to date. Reinstalled the ones related to display and graphics multiple times, one of those times using "DDU" to make sure I did an ultra-clean installation.
Bios is updated. VBIOS on latest firmware.
Laptop bought in April, so thermal paste should not be a problem. Fans seem Ok, temperature is definitely not the problem.
Thanks.

Hi , in this case you can try with different windows version and see if it work , because like you sad all is up to date , you can try test memory with mem test and also HDD with HD Sentinel, and check the results , and also you can test with a different game and see if is the same .

Hi Daniel.
I have tried with various games and Benchmarks. The results clearly show a performance that is not the expected from my GPU.
For reference, please check this fresh UserBenchmark I just did: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/63602307

Hi , from results I see the video card uses direct x 9 or 10 and is not normal because your video card suport direct x12 , in this case could be a setting or something happened because video card won't work like it is supposed to do. Here is a link that shows how to enable and check for direct x 12 to be enabled , try this and make another test and see if the video card work correctly, seems to be an issue regarding direct x .

Thanks Daniel.
But in other tests I´ve done, Dx12 works. It´s just that UserBenchmark does not use Dx 11 or 12 yet (check here).
