Laptop without discrete graphics card ?

hello everyone,



i have a laptop without a discrete graphics card and only with and integrated graphics card. currently i have a Pentium P6200 with an integrated intel HD graphics. iam planning to upgrade to a quad core i7 but the quad core series that is supported by the laptop socket and chipset doesn't have integrated graphics and the only highest option i have is the intel core i7 640m @ 2.8ghz.



so what do you guys think ? are there any solutions ?

i7-640m is fine upgrade over Pentium P6200.
You upgrade from 2core/2thread to 2core/4thread config
and cpu frequency gets bumped from 2.13Ghz to 3.46Ghz (max turbo).

Are you even sure you can remove your existing processor? It may be soldered in place.

yes iam 100% sure, as i dissembled the laptop and found that it has a socket and also removed the CPU. but my question is: can i use the i7 840QM for example if the laptop doesn't have any discrete graphics chip ?
