Laptop wont boot... help!

My 6 year olds Minecraft laptop is a HP 2000 about 3 years old. It came with Win 8 on it which we hated and put Win 10. Decided to download Win 7. Well, after loading 7 on it... it now says "loading windows files"... and those files go down the screen for about 30 seconds and then they stop. It loocks up there and freezes. If i F8 and go into safe mode, etc.. it wont.. it just blinks and then goes back to loading files and then freezes. i cant go into ANY of the safe modes to try and system restore....

Any ieas on what i can do to get this thing working????

Try booting up with a dvd and when its says "install", there should be a repair option on the bottom left, click on it and it will open the recovery console, offering to repair startup issues, or use system restore or the more complicated command prompt option.

gave that a shot but it does the same thing. loads windows files for a few seconds then freezes

Maybe a bad hard-drive, find a second hard drive and try the Windows 7 setup clean on that.

Are you using an optical drive or a USB to install Windows 7 ?
