I recently tried to enable windows hibernation, when my laptop froze.
Since then the system won't boot up. I can acces the BIOS, and change settings (like boot order) but after saving & exiting, the laptop just displays a black screen, no error message. Tried booting from DVD and USB, messing around with other settings like Rapid-Start, Anti-theft and UEFI, even restored default settings, all with the same result.
Looks like the transition from BIOS to any bootable device keeps abruptly failing.
Hope this sounds familiar to someone, any insights would be much appreciated. Tx
