Laptop won't boot windows

Laptop is infected with Antivirus 8 and now windows 7 will not boot. Is there a way that I can connect my laptop to my desktop to get to my files on the laptop even though windows will not boot. Can't even get into safe mode.

You can remove the drive from the laptop and put into a external case and usb it to your desktop. Run a virus scan on it before any files are accessed.
