Laptop won't charge

My laptop will work if the charger is plugged in but the laptop isn't charging. Is it my charger or my battery or something el

#It goes without saying but try a restart
#check your power options
#try installing a driver for the battery under device manager/batteries
#uninstall and reinstall the driver

If those wont do any good check the cord or the adapter or try charging another compatible laptop aith the same setup if you can.
If the problems still persist, then you may have a dead battery, like I had a week ago, no big deal.
