Laptop won't connect to internet, everything else does

The internet works on everything else in the house except for my laptop. Not sure what's the cause ...

Hey! I have an HP envy i7, 1.5 year old laptop. I've been trying to connect to the internet connection at this new place that I moved to, and it simply won't connect. It always says that it's got a limited connection. The internet works on everything else in the house, including another laptop and my phone. I've tried a bunch of solutions, including turning my adapter on and off, changing my network Mac address, and deleting all other stored connections. Not sure what the problem could be. Please ask me for any information as I'm unsure what to give here. I'm running windows 8.1.

Sounds like a LAN driver issue, try updating the driver via their website or search for your WLAN card manually and lookup the new one. Dont forget to uninstall the old driver prior to new one, sometimes that causes issues. Good luck.

It turned out that there were too many connections active on the router, so it blocked more connections (or something like that). Thanks for your help!

haha np, that solution never would have occured of me to think of. Now i know thats a thing haha.
